INT. – MIDNIGHT - CHERRY RED

EYE LEVEL SHOT:

They have danced for months seated inside Cherry Red. Months of learning about each other in their bubble of safety, privacy, and innocence. The Universe and the Sun.

It is raining, pouring down and it is cold. Cherry Red’s heater is working overtime but is withheld to the limit of a youth’s allowance.

SUN

Do you want to see a movie tonight?

UNIVERSE

A movie?

SUN

Yeah. A movie with me.

UNIVERSE

A movie? With you?

SUN

No, with Jesus Christ.

UNIVERSE

SUN

I don’t see your copyright claim on it.

The Universe laughs, gentle and shy, like in the beginning. Cherry Red remains safe and secure. No one can see them if her Sun drives fast enough. And how he loves to please her. Loves to draw out her smile, hear her laugh. He burns for it.

UNIVERSE

Perhaps it is the rain beating down on Cherry Red. Perhaps it is the fog on the windows. But deep down the Universe knows, it is her Sun.
